One popular weight loss company is suing another for what they say is a word for word theft of their weight loss plan. The company Nutrimost is the plaintiff in the suit. They claim that Healthy Living, another weight loss company, stole one of their videos advertising the benefits of their weight loss program and posted it on their website. The website seems to be a verbatim pirating of the Nutrimost video. The only discernable difference is the fact that Healthy Living edited out the word Nutrimost and replaced it with the phrase “Can’t Lose Diet”. Nutrimost claims that Healthy Living even used the same customer and doctor testimonials from the original video.
This diet is a very new plan. It was invented just a couple years ago in the state of Connecticut. The Nutrimost diet is a technology-based weight loss program that uses what they call NRF (Nutrimost Resonant Frequency) to help their customers lose weight. Some of the most successful people in the plan have lost about 40 lbs. in the first month of being on the diet plan. This diet plan is one of the newest doctor-based diet plans on the market today. It is gaining popularity around the country and is used by people nationwide.
Healthy Living did receive the cease and desist letter last September regarding the pirated video. They responded by leaving it up and then later altering the video to just a pared down and edited version of the original video. Nutrimost says that they stole their weight loss program and the marketing plan almost completely. They are suing the company for $300,000 to cover “loss of goodwill and reputation”. Nutrimost is also seeking a court order directed at Healthy Living that will prevent the company from ever posting the video again.
